I got the idea to draw this topic when one of my friends shared a picture of the book 'The Laws of Human Nature' on Instagram stories. And the line was "...they are wolves in lamb's clothing...."😳
During that time I was doing a portrait painting study. Then I decided to test my painting study on that topic👨🎨. Before that, I had to decide how to draw or how to illustrate this topic.🤔
First I collected a bunch of images of wolf characters from Pinterest. When I was doing an exploration of making wolf characters, I got a full idea of illustration.😉
So it was like a wolf character which has a bad identity, hungry to eat lambs and you know that wolves are tricky minded, intelligent than others. He is wearing a mask of lamb to hide. To exaggerate the character's hungriness I added a wooden spatula in his hands, which he is hiding behind himself.😏
For casual look his left side of jeans is folded till just below the knee, also he is wearing a handkerchief around his neck to give look that has the intention to kill, just like a cowboy.🤠
Color between gray and light purple for wolf body will be okay to add 'handsome-killer type personality. 🍖
Initially, I was planning to make cinematic scene (with 1-point perspective) but I think I have to practice more, also I had never done complex background so I drop the idea and prefer to go by simple illustration🙄
I don't know what type of feeling background is giving😕. I changed the saturation and brightness of the background to create 3 different versions which represent 3 different moods of character.😎
The dark one gives a horror type feeling and the light one (middle) give a fresh or open mind type feeling. But on the right side which is a little less saturated and more brightness has a different feeling, I don't know which type. But it suits perfectly to character🙃. If you know which type of feeling you get by watching rightmost (or main illustration) then please let me know😁.
